It is observed that the perspective on the supply chain in the fashion industry has completely changed over the past few years. Due to rising logistics costs, delivery delays, and global uncertainties after the pandemic, turning to distant geographies is no longer preferred for many brands. As an alternative, carrying out production in regions close to the market — that is, “nearshoring” — has become a widespread strategy. In this process, Turkey has begun to be seen as a prominent production center in the European and American markets, thanks to its proximity to other countries, its creativity, its production power, and its time-saving logistics advantages.
According to McKinsey Company’s latest analysis, it is reported that brands able to manage the trio of near production, automation, and sustainability together will be among the successful brands of the coming period. In addition, according to QIMA’s current data, quality control inspection requests coming from Europe to Turkey increased by 27%. This development shows that Turkey is not only a production point but also a reliable, close, and accessible business partner. Turkey stands out as a strong nearshoring alternative that appeals to both the European and American markets.
As GlobalGate, we are at the center of this transformation. Our mission is to bring Turkish manufacturers directly together with global buyers through the fairs we organize and to serve as a bridge to lasting partnerships. Fairs are not only spaces where products are exhibited; they are also meeting points where nearshoring-focused business connections are established. GlobalGate, in turn, regards this process not merely as an organization but as a connection point that brings the right manufacturer together with the right market. In short, in this period, establishing the right connections at the right time and in the right place is more important than anything for international success.
